I just signed up for my first Nationals. So let's start talking about it!

Who's going?
How are you preparing?
How many Hawaiian shirts are you bringing?

First off, the registration page asked if I wanted to be called a rookie. I've been autocrossing since 1992, and I've done some divisionals and a Pro. It didn't feel right to call myself a rookie, so I said "no".

I bought the commemorative jacket at registration, because I'm a sucker, and because I'm hoping the design will be cool. And because I happen to need one anyway come Fall.

G-Street class runs on Thursday/Friday.

It will be 2 days to drive the 20 hours from Washington DC. I haven't booked a hotel but my gf is coming with, so it'll have to be a halfway decent room. Holiday inn express would suffice.

"Are you a race car driver?"
"No, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night!"

I will be coming and running G-Street. I'll be there all week most likely as I have a lot of friends that are going to be running at various times/days. I want to watch the prosolo as well.

I'm probably going to register as a "Rookie" as it will be my first Nats.

I've not registered yet (going to in July) so I'm not 100% sure on my prep yet but I know I will need to pack a bit of stuff.

My kart co-drivers are planning on going as well so I will have a trailer for extra tires/wheels so that will be a good thing.

My local group has t-shirts for all of us that are going and I know we will have a "Little Minnesota" area.
