Do anybody have experience with the stock 205/40r17 tires on a 17x7.5 wheel? I've done some searching on the interwebs and it seems like it fits well with barely any stretch but i cant really find a conclusive first-hand response. I'm not going for "stance" but i do like a slightly wider wheel and would like to save money and reuse my stock tires if its reasonable. Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

You gonna have alot of rim sticking out. The tires already look stretched with the stockies that are 17x7

Many of the 205/40R17 tires on TireRack show rim sizes between 6.5 and 8 inches so you should be fine.

It will slightly stretch and look fairly awkward if your car isn't lowered. I promise. Get at least a 215/40 tire. Or stick with the stock wheel size.
