a Fiesta of mountune parts

All set for tomorrow to have about $2500 worth of mountune parts put on the car by the Portland area Ford Racing shop. I bought the MP215 kit back in July along with the High Flow Induction Hose. Then I picked up the Quick Shift. Next came the Intercooler and lastly came the Charge Pipe Upgrade. .. With luck they'll have time to put it all on and I can drive home quicker than I left. ..

Took it in to Aldridge Motorsports in Portland Oregon. Highly recommend. A nice little shop with very personalized service. Just a tad over $400 for everything including fixing the intercooler that got the intake smashed in shipping and replacing the fasteners in the front clip that I destroyed by curbing the car a couple of weeks ago. ...

Vroom Vroom......Happy camper... Now the question is whether or not to use the mountune logo thingy.... .. hmmmmm...?

I can take pictures of the parts I now have in my basement that used to be on the car, but other than that there is no real indication that anything has been done. An old air box (with filter) some rubber hoses, etc.

My mileage seems to be about the same so long as I keep my foot out of it. I notice most the shifter. 30% less throw means 30% more effort. That seems just right. I haven't really taken the opportunity to play with the extra power having only driven the car home from the shop and back and forth for work.

I am noticing that I have to pay more attention to the tach than I used to. I had conditioned myself to the "time in gear" as I accelerated. That internal calibration is now off, as the car spools up faster...... I pulled a guy from a light (going uphill) yesterday... 1st gear I had a slight edge, 2nd gear I started to pull away, 3rd gear it was "color me gone". YeeeHaaaaaaaaa
