I changed mine because it looks better. Can anyone speak to how these shorty antennas change the radio reception?
I still don't want to do anything that will make it worse.
I have this antenna on my ST. I had it on my SES because it cleared the Euro spoiler (the OEM rubbed). Reception is still good and I like the thicker look of middle section.Anybody replaced their antenna with a shorter one? Any pics and where can I get one?

If your reception is marginal now, the last thing you want is a shorter antenna. I listen to the radio a lot and would be inclined to install a longer antenna, if anything. I prefer function over form. Can anyone speak to how these shorty antennas change the radio reception?
I live in an area that isn't really flat and the transmission towers are about 50 miles away. It translates to crummy over the air TV reception at home and analog radio going fuzzy under an overpass, more hum than I think is normal, etc.
I feel like my reception is kind of marginal with the standard antenna but I believe its mostly the quality of the transmission.
