Had a FoST ST2 until I sold it to get my FiST. Both very similar animals, both great cars.
Fiesta is better for city, Focus is better for highway. Focus had a less bouncy ride on our undulating PA highways, but that's mostly due to the added mass IMO. Focus had more power down low so although the difference is noticeable, it's mostly due to the fact that you now have to down-shift the fiesta where the Focus could do routine passing and grade climbing in a higher gear. That being said, it's not fair to say that the Fiesta lacks power, in fact, so far, I have not found myself needing more power that wasn't simply a gear change away.
The Fiesta is easier to drive as a daily driver, easier to park, maneuver and the FiST is getting me about 5mpg better so far - only 1K miles on the Fist, had about 9K on the FoST.
Fist has a few less convenience features than the FoST - such as the Focus had 4 way auto up/down windows and touch to unlock all 4 doors, plus a few other little things I don't really miss that much.
The FiST is easier to have fun with when not at it's limits, I found myself mostly having fun with the Focus when pushing it hard into a wide turn or when letting it claw it's way to ludicrous speed in 3rd gear. I think the Fiesta is just a little more engagingwhen away from it's limits and I find myself enjoying everyday driving more.
