not sure if you noticed but they seemed to have made the "extended inventory" search radius larger? I'm seeing some listed at OH dealers now. They were all MI dealers when I was looking at inventory around the time when mine was delivered.

The ST models will never be popular cars, because the majority of people don't enjoy driving, prefer automatics, and don't want to pay the premium for a sportier model. So there's that.

The other issue is that dealerships seem to order 1 or 2 fully loaded models and let them rot in showrooms.

They may have increased the radius. The one thing I don't like about the website is when you pull up the extended inventory it does not tell you where specific cars are located. Or am I missing something? I was able to locate some of the vehicles by going through the various local dealer inventories. Anyways it was just out of curiosity as I already have my ST.

You are correct, it won't tell you where. The site is set up to only let you choose the closest dealer to the zip/address you put in. If you want to search a specific dealership, you will need to go to their website or use a place like cars.com.

I imagine there is some sort of contractual thing preventing otherwise, because pretty much every car manufacturer's website works that way.

In the extended inventory section, when you see one you like, just copy the VIN and do a search. The exact dealer should show up. This was driving me crazy as well as ALL the dealers near me didn't have the color and options I wanted, but all found "ONE" they could have transferred. Of course wouldn't tell me where. I finally figured it out using this method. Good luck!

Yes, it shows the state, but doesn't show the dealer. That site stinks if you ask me. The VIN will show you the exact dealer when you look it up. I hate that all dealers say they can get you the car you want in a dealer trade. But of course won't tell you where they are getting it from. Guess I can't blame them in a way. My issue is supposedly they are not allowed to sell you a car and you can pick it up from where that car is located. They MUST deliver it to the dealer where you purchase the vehicle. That is just lame. Especially if it's far as someone is driving your new car possibly hundred of miles. Most likely having some fun during that drive. I'll pass on that.

Here in AL, one nearby dealer has none and another sells them as soon as they arrive; they had 2 when I first looked, and one sold by the time I test-drove a couple of days later. I ended up special ordering.
