BC Coilover Group Buy with Joe @ 2J Racing

Here's a place to talk about our proposed group buy with 2J Racing.

Several of us expressed interest in buying a set of coilovers, and it's time to see if we have seven or more members willing to commit.

I'm in for a "street setup". I'd like to preserve near-stock ride height, and I'm also interested in options for inverted body shocks and a remote reservoir setup. I don't know if this is even an option for our application, but I'd like to find out.

Assuming seven, what's our price for the standard build, each?

Who's in? :)

Tempted depending on price. While not ideal in terms of dampning adjustability, Ford recently cut the price of the Bilsteins almost in half

Are the bilsteins made for the ST or the reg fiesta? Do they have all the options BC has to offer in adjustability?

Hey guys, I'm actually curious about the Bilsteins too, but this is the "BC coilover group buy thread". We had people ready to buy, and this is the list to nail that down.

Joe: Can you answer a few questions here to get folks to commit to this group buy? How much is the standard BC coilover at seven buyers? Do you have remote reservoir or inverted shock bodies for our FiST? Thanks!
Yeah price with 7 how much?

Product Auto part Suspension part Metal

These are currently not available with an inverted shock body or remote reservoir; however, I dont think its necessary. They way the street spec BCs held up at the track with amazing composure the other options arent necessary at all. The street spec is that good. I think these are the best coilovers on the market right now for the ST at this price.

Each set will be 30way adjustable, compression/rebound. And each will have the valving and spring rates matched for the Fiesta ST, therefore it will take a minimum of 3 weeks to build the sets. They will all ship around the same time as they will be built in a batch. Meaning once we hit 7, the bulk order will go in.

You will order at www.2j-racing.com when we hit 7 and I will adjust the price. All our orders go through a SSL connection and you can use your CC or PayPal. We dont accept Amex.

The price will be $300 less than the MSRP of $1250. We ship to Canada and worldwide.

Thanks, Joe -- I'm still in. :)

Guys, here's a chance to make a huge improvement to the handling of your FiST! We have two confirmed and a few on the fence. Spread the good word and let's get our orders in!
Ok I have a ride height question: what is the adjustment range? My car is a 4 season car so I want the ability to keep it near factory ride height for winter. Also are the spring rates much stiffer than stock? Much stiffer springs would also hurt the winter handling.

Wondering the same thing. I had a KW V3 suspension on a SVT Focus and it was a little low. Can the BC setup be adjusted to something close to "stock." I want to be able to run 215/40-17 summer tires, skinny/tallish winters, and maybe 215/45-16 track rubber on this car. Still investigating for a car arriving in the late spring.

I have KW V1s on my 11 Fiesta, they are awesome, and I've been fine this winter with the snow we've been getting. I do plow a bit, but I didn't drop as low as I could've.
If you get 7 I'm in...or I guess 6 others. But I don't want to order @ $1250 and then get $300 back *IF* we get 7, and if we don't then have to pay the $1250. Or do we order and if we don't get to 7 our orders will get cancelled?

I guess that is the long way of saying I'm in at $950, but not $1250.
Yeah I didn't say it, but I am in at $950 too pending some answers to my questions from Joe.
$950 is decent but if this group buy falls through Im gonna go with Levels performance which sell the BC's for $999

Hey guys, there isn't much margin on these BCs. $950 is a very fair deal. I agree that the sentiment here is that people are in at $950, but not much more. That's okay with me too. Let's give this a little room to air out and see where it leaves us. There's no harm in that.

We've given Joe some exposure, and I'm sure he's okay with that too. Maybe he'll develop his site to have more FiST stuff, the Nissan side (especially the B15) looks very nice. :)
Joe,
Do you have a +/- range of adjustment over stock? I see -2" from stock, but nothing going taller. I would like the ability to go -1" down maximum and +3/4 (approx) for winter use. My 2011 Fiesta is about the same ride height as the ST and could use some extra clearence in the winter. With the turbo tubing and intercooler low in the car, the extra height would be nice when the heavens decide to drop feet of snow.

Anybody heard from Joe? I figured he might be on vacation over the holiday, but now it's time to get back to the grind ... i.e. selling us some stuff! :)

Right, I figured that was part of the delay. There's a few questions that have been asked here, and I have some of the same. I also imagine Joe is active on LOTS of forums, he'll make his way back here. :)
