This is a great product awesome build quality.
Are you getting any extra rattles post install? Those pop clips worry me a bit.
Do you run yours at max reduction?
Is this a permanent mod?
Thanks

You can always throw some silicone on those clips so they won't shake around after removing the console once...

This shouldn't be a permanent mod.

True, i found double sided tape can also work wonders. I'm not too worried I reckon it'll be OK. More curious is all. I know the install involves a bit of cutting iirc but if it is a permanent mod it still might be OK just as long as it's worth it. I am close to committing. I already run a 30% short shift but I reckon I could go a bit more. I also hope this will work well with that deadhook extension piece. I'd like to be able to 'lazy shift' occasionally by leaving my elbow on the the centre console. That'd be awesome. I know I don't want much do I? Lol

Here's a link to the instructions on Boomba's page. It's a pretty involved install by the looks. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwr-Sa_14cufZ3hueV92VHRFTEU/view
See step 35. It's for the reverse lock out. I'm not sure if the would cause a problem if you wanted to go back to stock.
*edit I just noticed step 27 says you should chamfer the tip of the shift pin.

Here is my DIY info and as you see the clips did vex me .. I think you can go back stock it you like the pin needs to be filed to allow it to slide in easier. SO far not creaks or rattles from it and the rev lockout trim is a little trim to allow the new lever to work like factory, once down it give a very mechanical sound when you use it but no issues what so ever.. now if someone made a Hurst type Tee handle I would be in old school heaven ..lol

Thanks Rod. I'm just weighing up because my car already shifts great tbh but I think it'll be worth it to me. Even with the weak Aussie dollar. =|
Anyway I'm joining the GB list.

Rod, search online for part# 1530020 and send me a postcard from old school heaven when you get there.

It's "universal" and comes with multiple thread adapters, including 12mmx1.25, but I'm not sure how to make it work with our reverse lockout.

How much filing is necessary? Few minutes worth?

I got lazy and used my bench grinder with a real fine wheel.. once or twice around was enough . I just knocked the square off the edge to allow a more tapered pin for fitment..

I'm wondering how badly I really want this short shifter after installing the adapter and bracket bushings... Who wants to help sway me one way or the other? I still need a RMM and other goodies still...
