How exactly would this take away from performance? You can't pressurize the intake tract. MAP-tuned vehicles will have no issues with this whatsoever. The car is designed to work with a bypass valve in a recirculating system. Moving to a BOV is going to add the sound and take away from the performance.
Good point, I was thinking of MAF sensor cars. Change my answer to more sound but zero performance gains. How exactly would this take away from performance? You can't pressurize the intake tract. MAP-tuned vehicles will have no issues with this whatsoever.
I like the idea of a louder blowoff sound, but the videos do make it seem possibly too loud. I'm looking at a louder exhaust - maybe a loud BOV won't stand out so much with a louder exhaust, as well. And it's a LOT more sound. I have heard of more than one instance where people sold theirs because it was too loud.
