Brake Judder at Hot Temperature

Hello Everyone,

I just got my Fiesta ST this week and am really enjoying the car. I am a former mechanic and currently work as a mechanical engineer so I have a pretty good idea of how cars work overall but not an expert at these cars so I figured id ask you (the experts).

Driving normal the brakes feel fine, just a hint of vibration more in the steering column than wheel but almost nothing you can feel. I took the car out and did some spirited driving (in a video game that takes place in mexico) and once the brakes are being used a bit any time i braked between 70-100 the wheel and pedal judders a lot. Once it cools its fine and as I said pretty much fine driving it. Car has 33K miles, outside rear pads dont look bad but who knows what the inside looks like, front pads cant tell, rotors appear not grooved and they dont seam to have hot spot marks.

I thought a run out issue on rotors cause the vibration when the cars driving pretty much all the time not when its hot. I can see heat making the pads possibly more tacky as they come up to temp and that tackyness is causing it to grab the high spots more but im not sure.

Dealer is going to take a look this week, because I have some connections there and I cant jack it up at my apartment. Going to have them face the rotors if in spec, and toss new pads on all four corners than I will bed them in.

Anyone had similar problems or insight on this? I doubt its ABS because im not getting any lights on the dash as if its having a traction issue or locking issue and it does not feel like a typical ABS lock up in the snow I have felt before. Plus, the slightest touch you feel it.

I'll be posting more often on the site - not just a one timer ! Car is a lot of fun, getting winter wheels this week for it these high 40 temps are a bit sketch.

Its pretty clean on the exterior with a clean record but it could have been who knows ! hopefully the dealer can sort it out so I don't have to deal with it to much. The problem is not a huge deal right now, no issue driving it and with winter tires on this week I wont be pushing the car hard at all for a while.
