I think my ST will be heading up Big Bear while you guys are drinking coffee. Have fun.
I am sure we will be doing another Big Bear run in the summer.
I just do NOT go into snow on purpose.

If the Ford gods wanted me to drive my car in the snow, they would have put skis on the front and a track belt on the rear.

Long Beach here, so that's very convenient. I believe I'll be in town, and see no reason I can't make this trip.

Is there anyone else in the area that wants to talk about track days or mods?
Welcome,
It would be great if you make this meet.
We try to plan other meets/drives and it would be nice to have others attend.

I live in the San Fernando Valley so I am not too far.

Wouldn't the tracks have to be on the front. :p

All,

Please be sure to show up *BEFORE* 5:00 am!

Cars & Coffee Irvine seems to be run by a self-appointed group of elitists who seem to apply arbitrary rules against "newer 4-door cars". The key to getting in is showing up before them. (see this post: The Drive of Shame )

If CnC Irvine turns out to be a load of crap, there is an alternative Cars and Coffee in Carlsbad (about 45 mins south of Irvine). I stopped there today, and the gathering is much more aligned with the spirit and intent of Cars & Coffee. It is also every Saturday morning, at a much more respectable time of 7am-9am. All are welcome and the exotics do also show up. Today say two McLarens, a Pantera, Morris Minor, TVR, and two GT-Rs along with the requisite Bimmers, Asian Persuasions, and Mustangs.

Irvine at 05:00 is doable, but I'm not sure I can do Carlsbad then.

Can we shore up plans by mid-week? I'd like to meet you guys, whether at this event or something more casual. I didn't realize how political this had gotten (I read the various linked threads on this). I'm looking for something mellow. :)

If you guys decide to go to Carlsbad, I'm all for that. It's 5 min from my house lol.
We are always into doing get togethers and drives.
We also try to plan them all over So. Cal. so that there is always something convenient to everyone.
This week we are doing Irvine as that is good for the Orange County people.
I would like to go down to Carlsbad as it is only about 100 miles one way for me.

JP6, please come up with an event, drive, or point of interest in your area and maybe we can interest people and do it.

I know that I will be there and I am sure that DirtyBlueShirt will be as well.
I do plan to be there early so as not to have any problems.
However I will NOT be told to park elsewhere and I will defy any phony authority.

The parking lot is owned by Ford/Mazda and has always been first come.
I am not sure Ford is into turning Ford owners/customers away.

Unfortunately it's now Mazda (and possibly Taco Bell). It's strange to see the PAG (Premier Auto Group, Ford's design studios for Lincoln, Volvo, Aston Martin, Land Rover, and Jaguar) go from luxury autos to budget burritos.
