I took delivery of my factory ordered Fiesta ST on September 27th. My dealer tells me it's the first retail sale of a Fiesta ST in the state of Nevada.

I ordered the car way back in June and it finally arrived while I was on vacation. Picked it up when I got back 2 weeks ago.

And my first 'mod':

Since these pictures were taken I installed the real license plates (bye-bye temp tag!) and upgraded the mounting screws to stainless steel while I was at it.

And now for a few updates...

Switched out the boring default MyFordTouch wallpaper for one I whipped up in Photoshop. Looks much better now:

I posted this wallpaper in the thread a while back if anyone wants it.

On Sunday I scotchgarded the interior of my car. I had to mask off the leather of the Recaros since you don't want this stuff on leather. I also did all the carpeting and the rear cargo area:

I have a few more things trickling in that I hope to get installed over the weekend.

I did two coats on the seat fabric and one coat everywhere else, and needed 2 cans. You might need more/less depending on how many coats and what you spray.

Even with the plastic bags and tape, there were a few spots where I got scotchgard on the leather, and it's now shinier in those places. Be careful :)

My all-weather ST mats were waiting for me when I got home from work so I threw them in tonight.

Here's a comparison shot with the mats that came with the ST.

These should be great for all the mud and snow coming soon.

I got them through [email protected] Cheaper than eBay by about $10.

Finally slapped my winter setup on yesterday - and good timing, as I woke up to 1/2" of snow this morning! :)

I'm running 195/45 R16 Pirelli Snow Control II's on 16x7" Sparcos. Ride is softer than stock, but not squishy like some other snow tires can be.

I also cleaned the car on Saturday, no before/after shots but here is my equipment setup:

I didn't get a chance to wax the car - too cold and windy - but it still shined up nicely.

Grit guard. Keeps the dirt where it belongs, in the bucket, instead of on your cleaning supplies. Less chance of swirling/scratching paint.

Google it, they are quite good at doing what they promise.

I was having website issues over the weekend when I tried ordering the cargo liner. You're not alone.

I took advantage of the unusually warm weather and washed and waxed the car on Sunday. I've got to say, Optimum Spray-on Car Wax is amazing. It goes on like water - it's so thin you don't think it can possibly work - but it shines up well with some light buffing. Highly recommended.
Installed the cargo liner today. It is a thick textured plastic, similar to truckbed liners and way better than the flimsy rubber one I had in my Accord.

It will not work with the load floor in the lower position.

I installed some fog light covers (really just a film) yesterday. I opted to go with the GT yellow ones since they'll complement the blue and red on the car already.

It's fairly yellow, but not to the point it's distracting. Definitely better than bluish white in the snow.

Wow, a year since my last post already. Not much happened this year, as I was busy with other things. My poor FiST got into a couple unfortunate parking lot incidents over the summer so next year I will be getting some bodywork done, but to hold me over I did some interior upgrades last night:

I bought some bling for the handbrake since swapping over the Euro one isn't cost-effective or easy to do, as well as installed my armrest cover from RedlineGoods.

I am very impressed with the quality and the color is a near perfect match but the nappa leather is somewhat smoother than I would have hoped for, I'm going to contact them and see if they have something with more grain like the samples I ordered awhile back.

A word of advice on the install: there are some retainer clips that are used to help secure the front end; these will not fit when the thicker leather is installed over the OEM armrest. It looks like on the installation guide (I believe a forum member on here wrote it) they just tightened it down and bent the clips, I chose to remove the slots on the armrest, as it's an easier/cheaper part to replace than the bottom half.

After:

Before I did this I could not get the front half to seat properly.

I will eventually get around to upgrading the shift boot, but I really only plan on taking apart the center stack once so I will wait and do that when I install Boomba's short shifter.

I bet, not looking forward to putting that lockout collar back together though.
Got switched over to my snow tires/wheels again, swapped out the chrome lug nuts for black ones. Really completes the look. (Sorry, no pics!)
Well... I sure like to move at a glacial pace. That should change in about six months when the bumper-to-bumper warranty is up. :D

Anyway, I got the car tinted last week (40% all around):

(You can also see the black lug nuts in this photo, as I haven't put my summer wheels back on yet.)

PS: Since a few of you have asked, I put up the wallpapers I made on my Flickr account. Enjoy!
