Cleaning the mountune Green air filter

So I cleaned the Green drop in air filter, that comes with the mountune full induction kit, with the Green filter cleaning kit. Followed the directions, meaning warm water through the clean side, air dry, and then re-oil. Reinstalled. Went to go to work this morning and got an engine warning light. I thought I may have applied too much oil onto the cotton filter, and that was causing the dts. Driving home I remembered that I had to unhook the temperature sensor on the mountune high flow induction hose to get the filter in and out. Once I monitored intake air temperature, I saw -40 deg F and knew something was amiss, and it clicked. Sooo, clean your filter and remember to re-clasp the temp sensor!

I've got the Mountune MP215 kit as well with the green filter. How often is it recommended to clean the filter? I only have about 3,500 miles on the filter.
Thanks, that was my assumption as well. Speaking of K&N, they usually include decals on their filters that you stick on your airbox telling a service tech not to dispose of the filter. Does anyone know if Green Filter makes a similar sticker? I sent them an email but have not yet heard back.
Aaron -- I got my spare Green filter from Mountune but it did not come with a decal unfortunately. My local dealer is pretty good about noting that a replacement filter is being used. I'm just paranoid about having to take it to a dealer that is not as on top of things.
Me too. I sent Green a message on their website asking if they make a sticker but never heard back. I know K&N makes a sticker so was wondering Green had one too. Anyone out there ever see one or know how to get one?
