Hey all,
I'm planning on buying the Accessport soon and I was wondering where you guys have it mounted and what you do with the wire to it. That's pretty much it.

Thanks in advance!

I stick mine in the gauge clusters, between the tachometer and speedometer. I zip tie the excessive cables and place them in that small opened panel underneath the steering wheel at the column. Then I wrap the cable around the steering column.

I use a suction mount, got it from amazon I think. When I'm not using my Accessport I just take slide the holding bracket off and leave the rest of it up. It's about eye level so I can glance at it or keep it in the corner of my eye. I ended up taking the cord and wrapping it around the steering wheel loosely when the steering wheel is all the way down and when you put the wheel back up the cord is tucked away from view. It's out of the way but not tight enough to damage the cord or anything.

I enjoy it there, easy to see but not really in the way, can still see pretty well. If you don't like the window idea then I would try the AC mount or the A pillar mount. I have ready the A pillar mount is at kind of a funky angle though.

My mother-in-law gave me an "iRing" and I had no idea I would use it for. It sat for about a month before I realized I could use it for the accessport. My wife even approves...

You can see here the cable is easily tucked away when not in use.

Wouldn't that block the odometer bough? I'm thinking I'll buy the mount that goes on the A/C vent.

Whoops, forgot about this thread.
Yeah, it will block the displays in the middle. But easy sacrifice for me... Nothing in the middle needs to be actively viewed during your drive. Temps might be the only thing required, but I set one of my AP gauges on Oil Temp, and that reading is more accurate than the one in the center display.

The angle of that pic isn't the best. Once you're actually in the driver seat, it doesn't block the tach or speedometer.

Everyone got their preferences, but I love having it mounted there. Feels like it's part of the gauge cluster, and looking at it feels as natural as looking at my tach or speedometer. No mounts required, no dangling cable, etc.
