Good news!
The short answer is no, not really. There are very few instances where a dealer would feel the need to find out if you had a flashed ECU. Now IF they have the $10,000 + Delphi tool and a tech who is trained to use it they can dig around and detect if the car has been flashed. Most dealers don't want to buy this tool since it's not something that is used or needed very often. That sounds great.
Now for the $64,000 question, can a Ford tech tell if an Accessport has been installed and then uninstalled?
I will be ordering soon or maybe buying at your so-cal location, FSWerks or Mountune.
Currently in only USDM support, sorry!Applicable to foreign FiST? Mine's a 3dr made in Germany
We are working on Accesstuner (the custom tuning software) along with hard parts and more OTS maps! This sounds real good.
However when will the Fiesta tuning software be released?
Dave
as an owner of a WRX modified to run e85 and using access tuner race and using your turbo back exhaust i am very interested in what you come up with both for tuning and bolt on exhaust options.... note that i run a slightly larger turbo, and top mount so my modifications are a modest 'stage III'.Currently in only USDM support, sorry!

perusing whats been done for the focus ST, i dont have a lot of expectations about running setups that require more fueling than the current injectors/pump modificaiton/replacement.
im looking for a new 'project car' and the fiesta st is high on the list.. though i would almost kill for an AWD version of this car...
comments?
The mTune from mountune will have only their specific calibrations and those will most likely not be available to use on a different Accessport, sorry! Currently, they only support AU/EU models of the Fiesta ST.Will the accessport v3 be compatible with future mountune calibrations or will there be some sort of software lock to limit the mountune calibrations to the mountune version of accessport?
I think we are wondering about the US Mountune support. As they say they are releasing their MP215 kit sometime this month in the US market. If, they indeed use the mTune as means of flashing their tune to our cars, is the unit locked so that we can not use additional COBB tunes in the future for when more COBB hard parts are released. The mTune from mountune will have only their specific calibrations and those will most likely not be available to use on a different Accessport, sorry! As in wanting you to pay another $6-700 for the exact same product so they can get their cut of the profits. Honestly the mountune maps only work if you have the proper parts anyways so I don't see why they would need to lock it. They're still getting their cut of the profits from the parts sales. From what was explained to me, the hardware is the same, but the firmware, tunes, etc. in the mTune are vendor-exclusive for mountune; the mTune cannot load tunes other than theirs, and mountune will not be offering their tunes for the Accessport. So, you will have to pick one or buy both.
It sucks for us, the consumers, but I'm sure they have a reason for doing this.
This is why I am purchasing the Cobb V3 through FSWERKS when I get my car... you get Cobb and FSWERKS tunes. The good ol' 2 for one!and mountune will not be offering their tunes for the Accessport. So, you will have to pick one or buy both.
