Hey guys, I've got a '16 Fiesta ST. As recently I noticed a creaking sound from the front right somewhere. The creak happens every time the clutch is engaging and the car begins to surge forward or backward letting off throttle. It is especially noticeable when shifting from 1st to 2nd at slow speeds and low rpms. I've taken the car to the dealership twice and they keep blaming it on my Cobb RMM. If it really is the Cobb RMM has anyone had their Cobb RMM give them creaking sounds? It's been about a year and a half since I put the RMM on and haven't had any other issue with the car until now. Car has about 23k on it. Anyone had a similar creaking sound? Thanks!

Could be. Put the stock one back on, and if it stops, you found the problem. As for your window, I don't know. Can it be lubed?

I have the same sound. My dealer said it’s the engine mount (all stock) and they’re switching it out under warranty.

I haven’t gotten the car back yet. I’ll report back.

Please do. I'm anxious to hear what they had to say. I got under the car today and the RMM appears to be tight and secure. I coated it with some WD40 Silicone. However, once I took her out for a spin I noticed the creak was still there. In my case though, it does eventually go away once the car warms up or the temperature outside warms up. So its definitely something more noticeable in the mornings when the car is cold.

I just dropped mine off at the stealership today. I provided them with the codes you gave me and per their diagnosis it sounds like I'm experiencing the same issue. Parts come in Tuesday, so I'll report after the installation to see if the creak is gone.

I got the same problem with noise (metal scraping noise) while shifting sometimes while idle. I got the car to the dealership for other matters and told the service guy about the noise. I told him that I know the car vibrates but I was under the impression that lately it was vibrating more than when I bought it and I thought that it might be the motor supports; he told me that he was going to order the mounts and he did without checking the car which brought me here.

I'm relieved that it seems to be the source of the noise. I about 38,000 km and it is a 2014 Fiesta ST which is similar to thread poster.
