Got bumped the other day at a light. Luckily, the tow hitch protected my bumper and destroyed the other guys car.

Went to go pull the videos from my two A118C's that I've been running for 3-4 years. Found the rear one was off and couldn't get a response from any of the buttons. Finally ended up opening up the camera and found this...

Guess it's time for new dashcams! General dash cam talk everyone?

Find capacitor based cameras. They don't do recording after you turn off power but you can always splice into the fusebox or buy a battery pack for those. Overall, if you don't want to dig through the myriad of chinese cams from different factories and sellers, Korean cams are the way to go. I bought my Itronics ITB-100HD almost 5 years ago and still going strong. Korean cameras have to be built to a certain standard for the video be admittable as evidence in Korean courts, hence the price.

Purchased capcitor based Viofo A119s off ebay two days ago should come in soon. I would've liked a couple of expensive Korean cameras but I'm cheap so if I can get another 2-3 years out of these I'd be happy!
