What are you guys using if anything? I just downloaded Harry's Lap Timer for my Android, right now only the Rookie is available. But, for 8 bucks seems like a good deal.
I use the Gran Prix version for camera linking and data overlays it is pretty good for the price and I have enough iphone/ipod/GoPro so I can play with it . Hope it works well for you
I used my phone (running RaceChrono) + bluetooth OBD2 to record my runs. It only takes a gps reading once a second, and seems to interpolate location sometimes. Some runs looked like I went way off course, even when I was clean.
The software is fine, but I will need a better gps receiver with a faster refresh rate.
So far my set up is the GoPro Hero 3, Samsung S3 with Harry's (the petrol head with video overlay is in Beta) and the Kiwi Blue Tooth OBD2. If the Refresh rate on the phone is not good enough I think I am going to use the Qstarz GPS receiver.
I tried using Harry's Lap Timer at my last event but the finish line was tripping prior to the finish (course looped near the finish line). Also, it didn't seem to have an option to split and analyze laps with the autocross data.
I am looking into getting an Android tablet and Solo Storm. A few of my friends are running it successfully, has some great features for auto-x data analysis.
