at this point there is really no debating, just a when, and how I'm going to get one. I've been wanting one since I first heard about them 6 or so months ago. This will be my first car I've purchased through a dealer, so I need pointers. First off, I'd like to start with what I want. I want a tuxedo black NEW 2014 or 2015 FiST. Really the only option I want is the recaros. I want my payments to be around 300 a month. Sticker price on one at the dealer (ingot silver, basic with no options) is 21,700. Honestly wouldn't mind it without the options. Okay, that's out there so now let's talk business. What would be a good down payment/value of a trade in? What are some ways the I could get him down? Does anyone know of ongoing incentives? I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Any input is much appreciated. And like I said this is my first time buying from a dealer. Thanks, guys!

There are only 2015's now, unless you find a used 2014. I have the car you are looking for. Out the door, you won't get a better deal than 24-25K, if it has Recaros. They won't budge, unless you have a sports illustrated super model figure. It is a limited production performance model. They won't budge... I tried. BTW... its only money.

This car was my first new car. I got a 0.9% APR, and my payments were not under 300 after a 5K down payment. You are going to need a good APR, along with a large down payment if you want those numbers. They may have a calculator online, but that doesn't determine your Ford Credit APR. They run your credit at the dealership, then offer you the best APR they can give YOU. Unless you go with an outside loan, Ford Credit is what it is.

If you're a Costco member, try that. .. my payments are right at $300 a month for three years, but I put down $15,000 and financed 10,000. Don't forget out the door price includes sales tax and license fees.

you may find some [new unsold] 2014 Fiesta ST in inventory and there may be incentives on them. enter your zip code on the "search dealer inventory" shopping tool on www.ford.com and you can also look up incentives & offers.

So, you want Black & Recaros. Those are the must haves.

I wanted a Blue with everything but the block heater and the heavy duty towing package.

Be open to more options... it will increase your odds of finding a great deal.

I found one at a great deal in a small town in a fairly rural section of Pennsylvania. Nobody in that town wanted a $26,xxx Fiesta... sporty limited edition performance car or not. The dealership was delighted to sell it to me (a year ago this week!) for just over $24k. Then they delivered it to Pittsburgh (240 miles) for free. I bought it (well, actually leased it off of the $24k figure) sight unseen and some lot-attendant (actually a retired over-the-road truck driver) put the first 240 miles on it.

Expand your search circumfrence and you'll find your car. Get one in a small town (especially one buried in snow) and you'll get your price.

Incidentally, $22,000 = 5% guessed sales tax = $23,100. $300/month at 2.9% for 60 months buys $16,737 worth of car. You need about $6400 of down payment.

I had gotten mine financed through Ford Credit with $26000 (only options were MO paint and moonroof, with stupid extras like oil changes and such that i later canceled) at 1.9% for 73 months. My payments are $400/month. Downpayment was... I think about $2000. But I also had a couple of others things going for me such as being an officer in the Air Force Reserve and being in the process of getting my master's

What he said. I'm paying $24K out the door w/ Recaros and nothing else.
