Fords been notorious for having coded sequences of actuating different things to change certain options. For instance in my focus, if you held down the trip reset at a certain time while starting, you got a diagnostic mode, and got digital readout of many things including air/fuel ratio.
My dads explorer had a code where you turned the key twice and honked the horn and turned the headlights on twice, or something similar, and it turned your daytime running lights off. Also another code that shut the seatbelt warning off.
I don't know what Ford calls these little hacks so I don't know how to search for it. Just figured I'd ask.
