Eagerly awaiting delivery of my oxford white st

Brand new to the forum. I just traded in my 2011 Fiesta SES for a 2014 ST. I can honestly say the Fiesta is the most fun car I've ever owned. I ordered it with the 6-speed dual-clutch "auto" and have regretted that since day one. Over the past 3 years, 1 full year was spent in loaner cars while months would go by waiting for new clutches to come off backorder. The car is amazing, but it didn't have enough power and the whole trans thing kind of pissed me off. The ST has been my dream car since I first heard about it. I still cant believe I'm actually getting one. Hopefully in a few weeks, I'll thoroughly learn how to drive a manual (small issue but anything is possible) and get to enjoy my new baby.

I bought the ST having not drove it nor a manual at all. I had my dad drive it home from the dealership for me and then I taught myself to drive it. It's not hard at all. With the car off you can push the clutch in and out and feel when it grabs. Do that for a bit, then to an empty parking lot and you'll be fine.

One mistake I kept making for a few days was coming to a stop sign in a neighborhood and forgetting I was in 3rd and trying to go again. Something about the low speeds, my brain just wasn't thinking "Hey, you're in 3rd, not 1st..." Stalled a few times, but I don't make that mistake anymore.

It's easy, you'll get the hang of it.
