Exhaust systems

I have normally gone and done custom exhausts on my previous cars, but this time I was looking into having a bolt on specifically engineered for the FiST. So I can easily put in on or take it off.
So far I have come across this

and

No figures or sound clips up yet, but I just wanted to share. I'm not pulling the trigger on anything yet.

Sorry if I double posted...the desktop site wasn't working so I tried again through tapatalk.

I will start a new "Scorpion-Exhaust" thread once the exhaust system gets here.
I wonder how well a super trapp would work on these cars...

Gah! I was trying to think of these yesterday and could not remember the name. Those things are cool as hell.

They do work.

SuperTrapp mufflers are awesome and you can tune them by adding or removing discs. just don't run without the "spark arrestor" end cap at an open track event or you may be black flagged for sound and/or flames...
Interesting you brought that up. I have already checked in to cutting off in front of the muffler and adding a straight pipe with spark arrestor end plates. Like they do in rally.
Total cost $50...
I do wonder how much help they would be for the 1.6 eb. I'm sure they would help on my SES.

As with all that have come out.
NO testing.
NO dyno info.
FS Werks has a dyno, there should be no excuses.

All of these companies are just trying to sell noise makers.
$550.00 to $800.00 will buy a lot of iTunes and you can turn the volume up or down.

Scorpion exhaust posted dyno numbers with their system

Couldn't one expect similar results from a similar setup? Or are the European cars tuned that differently from ours?
Dyno looks sketchy.. the curve is odd for an exhaust change

That's because it in two inches shorter than ours. ;)

I will have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to dyno the Scorpion exhaust system to verify performance gains against my baseline. Currently, I am the ONLY person on the North American continent to actually have one on their US-spec speed density car. I can also tell you that I am VERY impressed with the sudden disappearance of any remnants of boost lag as well as the now more frantic feel of the power band (especially at higher rpm). This exhaust is no ordinary "noise maker" (it's actually quiet in comparison to most of the others). :p
