Failing Sync update?

Anyone else? I just picked up my ST and created an account at syncmyride.com - it immediately told me there was an update available. I downloaded the file and tried to install it, but the update fails.

Anyone else having a similar experience - did you get the message that there was an update available - and did it succeed?

Thanks.

I was able to update mine, but the car wouldn't recognize my 8gb usb drive so I used a 1gb drive for the update. It took about 30 minutes, and I had the car running the entire time.

Hi MGORDON,

I realize this is a bit late, but I just stumbled across this post. Were you able to get it downloaded? Sometimes this will occur if you've already installed the update in the vehicle, but it never got reported to the website. If the vehicle is equipped with MyFord Touch, verify by pressing the SETTINGS GEARS > HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION; the last 5 digits of the CCPU number should be 13171.

Can I be driving the car while doing the sync update?

You sure can, coffeeslug. The engine just needs to be running while you're installing the update.
