So with practice on a stock shifter with a stock knob and no short shift kit I have managed to get my 1 - 2 and 3 - 4 shifts crammed into a clutch kick. I am not slamming gears I don't think since it doesn't take a lot of effort, but I'm worried that during my spirited driving I may be doing unneeded wear on the transmission. Normally I just give it a little push and let it fall in. What do you guys who know more than I think about my concern?

Some people can break a transmission without hardly trying.

I was admonished at the ST Octane Academy for shifting too hard but so far I've never had worse than two destroyed clutches both at 100,000 miles+.

So it depends on the type of person you are.
