Hey all, I have been lurking here for about a year now, following the really great communities that this car seems to attract. Thank you all for sharing your projects, advice and camaraderie. I have finally decided to become a part of this community myself!
For those others lurking in the shadows of these forums, thinking about taking the plunge and ordering a FiST of their very own, here is some up-to-date data on the current wait times for factory orders.
February 9th, 2015 - After calling around to several dealers for prices and purchase options, I walked into a dealer here near Seattle and placed my order. Dealer said their wait on custom orders was typically about 12 weeks, and we anticipated a delivery date sometime around mid-May.
February 10th, 2015 - Received order receipt acknowledgement from Ford.
March 13th, 2015 - Still no VIN attached to my order, and the dealer is saying that the weather on the east coast has created a parts supply problem and a lot of their vehicles are not getting scheduled.
UPDATE #1:
March 28th, 2015 - I got my VIN!! Build scheduled for May 25th (so 2 months from VIN assignment, to build day), which should give a delivery date of sometime around mid-June.
UPDATE #2:
April 9th, 2015 - Projected delivery date (car is coming from Cuautitlán Mexico to Seattle Washington) is June 29th, 2015.
UPDATE #3:
May 28th, 2015 - Car is now in production and I have a window sticker. Projected delivery date is now July 13th, 2015 (car is coming from Cuautitlán Mexico to Seattle Washington).
UPDATE #4:
July 31, 2015 - It's here! Lot's of dates changing as the car went from Mexico, through Houston to Chicago, to Detroit, through Utah and up into Seattle. Total time on the train was about a month and a half.
That is about 6 months from the day you walk into a dealership till the day it shows up.

25 weeks Car gets off train and is delivered to the dealership where I pick it up the next day!
