Hi everyone!

Some of you may recognize me from Fiesta Faction, but if I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet, I'm Kim. You'll see me handling questions relating to SYNC, MyFord Touch, or navigation. I'll be monitoring the forum and jumping in where I can be helpful. Feel free to send me a PM or reach out on this thread if you want to contact me directly.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks, good to know Ford is following up on issues that come up on forums. One problem that was posted here and that I've experienced myself is with restricted Sirius channels...if you are driving and listening to one and then turn the car off the radio remains on but there is no audio and but the display says the channel is MyKey restricted even though the key in the car is an unrestricted admin key. All other audio functions continue to work and there is full Sirius access if the car is turned back on with or without an engine start. I have been unable to find any option to fix this in the MyFord Torch menus or in a Google search.

Hi Bluto,

You're welcome. I'm glad to be here!

It sounds like your system is working as intended. You'll see on page 48 in the 2014 Fiesta Owner's Manual (3rd printing) that satellite radio adult content restrictions may not be changed even with the admin key: http://www.fordservicecontent.com/F...ner's-Manual-Third-Print_om_en-us_10_2013.pdf There aren't any settings in the MyFord Touch system that will allow you to change this.

Thanks, but since both my keys are admin NO Sirius channels should be restricted when a key is in the car and when the car is turned off after a drive all Sirius channels should continue to play until a door is opened just as any other audio source does. Not a big deal but it is annoying....at the very least there should be an option to turn Sirius restrictions off entirely.

Totally agree. Who's idea was it that we needed these channels restricted at all times no matter what? We are adults and have the right to choose what we can listen to and have paid for service that should allow us this access.

Anyone who is not old enough to be listening to these stations should not be in the car alone anyway.

It not that it can not be changed its that it will activate when turning off the engine. Meaning you are listening and reach your destination and want to continue to listen but if you turn the engine off you have to open your door and then put the car in accessory power to continue to listen.

Thank you for your response

Hey everyone,

What’s better than one In-Vehicle Technology representative on this forum? You guessed it; two! :)

Rebecca and Kim are the official Ford representatives that will be handling inquiries regarding SYNC, MyFord/Lincoln Touch, navigation, and SYNC 3! If you’re not sure what SYNC 3 is, check out this announcement posted today: http://www.ford.com/technology/sync3/

You’ll see both of us jumping into threads to add helpful information, but you can always reach us directly at the FordIVTTeam account. Just send a DM and one of us will be happy to respond.
