They are two layer vinyl.
The orange is set within the chrome outer oval of the original badge,
The next chrome oval and Ford were laired on top.
No trouble at all just stick them on.
I like to use a 9 year vinyl for this type of application.
I have never had trouble with it lifting.

These look great! My only concern before I purchase a set would be if I ever needed to remove them. If they're just vinyl, in theory you should just be able heat them up and peel off? What do you think Dave?

I can't speak for others however mine ARE vinyl and do peal off.
I do use a nine year Avery vinyl (900 Cast) so after it sets, it does take a little effort to get off, but it does come off.

Is there an active production of these going now? I'm personally interested in something in black. Maybe even a subdued gray on black?
I don't have any gray.
I do have gloss and mat black, yellow, lime green, red, white, and orange.
Next time I am at my supplier I will look for gray.
I only buy remnants as the smallest roll is about $65.00.

McRib,
I am glad you like them.
I forgot to tell you with the installation they are guaranteed.
If they ever blow off, I will replace them.

It is almost impossible to not see the levels of the original badge.
Also as with ant vinyl application you may get very small bubbles.
These bubbles usually go away by themselves after a few days.
Persistent bubbles can be removed with a very fine needle.

McRib,
It is also possible that a small piece of debris got between or under the vinyl.
Either way I can fix it or replace it the next time we meet.

I had a couple experiences with yellowing and such and decided against it.
The new materials today are much better.
You may not have noticed, but the complete front and hood of my car has clear bra.
The material I used IS more expensive, but is warrantied for TEN years.

I put the ones together for my car because the local shops wanted way too much money.
In also wanted chrome script on the orange background.
You just can't print chrome and have it look correct.

I few of you have asked for me to make overlays and I have made these.
However for any more that I do the options will have to be limited to what works with what I have.
Next week I will go to my vinyl supplier and see what other/better colors I can get.

Here is what I have discovered.
The matte black that I have makes a good background but is very bad for the script.
Although I have made a couple, I will need to get a different matte black vinyl.

The process I use is to lay one layer over another.
This is kind of "Old School" but it does look good.
This process is NOT good at all for the steering wheel logo.
The script here is just too small.
The steering wheel will require a printed vinyl.
I have a cutter only not a printer.
