Mcrib took the words out of my mouth...and just to add Im not a Ford Fanboy so I dont care About the Blue historic logo. I like my new red n black logo it goes well with the rest of my car's color scheme. Just my opinion.

There no anti-Chevy chest beating because Chevy doesn't make a true FiST competitor.I totally respect that. I recently saw an interesting story that illustrated the many times the logo has changed, and it has changed a lot. You can see the evolution over the years, each being a small tweak along the way. Today's logo pays homage to the original while being totally new. Keeping a brand fresh and modern is part of a company's life cycle. Ford is a proud American company with a heritage that no other car company can match.
To be clear, I'm not a "Ford guy". This is only my 2nd Ford, and I've owned close to 30 cars so far. What you're seeing is a new type of buyer and enthusiast. Dare I say it's the new Ford that brought many of us here. This ST (and the Focus before it) are firmly rooted in the European market. I'm thankful it's here, and I'm happy to own this Ford. This is an exciting new chapter for Ford. On a related note, watch the MotorTrend podcast with Ford's Chief Engineer at ST and you'll see that he says much of the same thing.
We're toying with the car's aesthetics, and I believe nobody aims to insult. Looking back, I would have chosen a different way to say this. I forgot how deeply rooted feelings are about this. We're not going to have pony car wars here, and it's refreshing that this board is not dominated by anti-Chevy chest beating. This thread is about how some of us want to tweak the car and logo, and nothing else.
I will have them at C&C.Ooh! I'd go for gloss (letters) on matte. Sign me up for two! I can pay you at the C&C event.
Thanks, I will take you up on that.Lunch or dinner is on me next time!
I'd like to hear about it. This batch is sticking well, but I was worried about the front one for a bit. I think it's good now, but a few bubbles on the edge threatened to ruin the seal. Like you said, it eventually sets up.BTW,
I just came up with a better way to assemble these.
Also an easier way to finish the install process.

Okay, I definitely accept your advice and comments as accurate -- I'm just working through this as a first time user of vinyl. This gets me back to thinking about a matte black or matte clear bra for portions of the front of the car.It is almost impossible to not see the levels of the original badge.
Also as with ant vinyl application you may get very small bubbles.
These bubbles usually go away by themselves after a few days.
Persistent bubbles can be removed with a very fine needle.
The new materials today are much better.I had a couple experiences with yellowing and such and decided against it.
