I am about 550 miles into my Fiesta ST ownership, and it seems like my MPG gauge seems to finally have leveled out. However, this is very concerning because it has flattened at about 24 MPG. most of my driving is Highway and during my commute i definitely try to nanny it, shifting before 2 grand. This is my first manual car, so i wouldn't be surprised if I'm doing something wrong, but I would at least like to get to the low end of what the sticker fuel economy is during my commute. does anyone have any experience in this? what kind of MPG are people seeing?
I've got just over 7000 miles on mine and frankly couldn't care less what the fuel economy is. I have absolutely no interest in having a car this fun and granny-shifting it either! To each their own though, I suppose.
I've been averaging 34mpg driving about 80mph on the highway and with a decent amount of city driving. No point in shifting any higher then 2k rpms when the snow tires are still on imo
My Blizzaks were on from Thanksgiving until Easter... it's fun feeling them scramble for traction on dry pavement as the boost builds!I got this car to have fun year-round, but feel free to enjoy yours as you wish.
