If anyone hasn't read GRM, it focuses on the racing aspects of new and used cars. If you are interested in the performance and racing potential of a car, its a good magazine to read. They also have a Fiesta B-spec project car.

Any way, they had a review of the Fiesta ST backed up by a short summary and comparison to the Focus ST.

I flipped through it and will read it later but I'm sure the review will be fair and a good read.

I was surprised to see it actually, I went to the book store to buy the R&T magazine where the ST came in third place behind the AMG SLS Black and C7 Corvette and picked up GRM only to find Fiesta ST content.

Its pretty simple, light car + powerful engine + nice suspension = a fun car.

The ST is FWD which turns off a lot of sports car purists but its just the way of the world now, light economy cars are all going to be FWD so manufacturers using that formula are going to be making cars like the Fiesta ST or else they are going to be making expensive cars.

After driving one on the street and in an autocross, the handling is so nice that I don't care which end puts down the power.

I don't think more power would take anything away from the Fiesta ST, if you properly tuned the power delivery it should just make it pull better from a roll. Torque steer might become noticeable but there might be a way to fix that too.
