I have the Mountune MP215 kit which comes with a reusable drop in panel Green Filter, a cotton filter similar to a K&N.
Question on cleaning and reoiling this filter: I found a Green Filter video which explained that after cleaning the filter and air drying it, one applies the filter oil on just one said of the filter:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7rETWxgZ8U
From the looks of the video, it appears that the technician sprayed the oil on the "dirty" side of the filter that actually traps the dirt/particulates (i.e., the bottom side of the filter that faces down when installed in the airbox). Is that correct or does it not matter which side is sprayed? I am concerned about excess oil getting sucked into the engine. Thanks for your help!
