Our Focus ST has heated Recaro seats. They have a dial that allows you to select the heat level. Regardless of the level the heat comes on and for the most parts stays at the level you indicate. Now, on our Fiesta ST with Recaros you simply push the button and they are on. FULL BLAST. 10 seconds and they are on and it is HOT. Are you guys having this same experience? And then after a couple of minutes of the very temperature they seemingly turn off for a while and then turn back on around 5 minutes later. This repeats itself until you turn them off.

Curious about your experiences...

Yes they cycle on and off, for some people its gets too hot and have to turn them off. I guess this was Fords way of not provided selectable heat levels as by the time the heat is off in the cycle for so long your body starts to get cold and hopefully the heat comes back on to start warming you up again. I've had times in the winter where the off cycle lasts too long and turned the heat switch off then back on to get the heat back on.

I am happy enough with them. They seem to heat up quick sparing me the cold seat.. And that's really all I need. I think I tend to turn them off before they automatically cycle off most times... But I did notice them going off on their own.. I don't recall having waited long enough for them to cycle back on automatically.

I am not impressed by them. But at the same time, I don't really have any problem with how they work. Good enough for me.

The Euro Fiesta STs look like they have two mode seat heaters. Watch the Chris Harris On Cars first drive video and you'll see a shot of it. It would be nice if we could retrofit this added functionality to our USDM cars.
