Hello From Los Angeles! Tuxedo Black ST

Hello, all! I just picked up my 2014 Fiesta ST last Saturday. It's Tuxedo Black w/Recaro seats and navigation (no moon roof for better helmet clearance!). I work downtown LA, but actually live in Long Beach -- drop me a line if you're local and want to chat.

I haven't actually seen another ST on the streets of LA, but I know they're out there. My dealer has moved a half-dozen or so since the debut a few months ago.

Anyhow, I've had 20+ cars over the years, and I've always had a thing for small high-performance cars. I had a first year Audi A3 DSG, a VW R32, Nissan Juke, BMW 135, Audi S4, Audi S5, etc. (okay the last two weren't *that* small). All of them were tuned to some extent, and I've already started with a couple modifications on the ST! So far I have purchased the Cobb AccessPort v3 (from FSWERKS) and a drop-in panel filter replacement. It looks like I'll get those goodies on Thursday!

I'm looking forward to some lightweight tuning with this car and can't wait to see how the parts development process goes! I'm going to look for some good wheels and tires for a track day session next! Hope to see you guys around.

Thanks, guys. It occurs to me that lots of people cross-shop many of the same cars. I was >< close to buying a BRZ. Initially (say a year ago), I didn't want to pay over sticker -- and now, my interest waned when I learned just how hard tuning that NA motor is! It was a dream to drive, but I actually preferred the ST overall (and I am addicted to turbo power and direct-injection). I also have to say that I've never owned a car that was so unanimously loved (are there any negative reviews out there?!). Even Top Gear loved it. So, yeah, that really influenced me. Two test drives later (one mellow, one at 8/10ths!), and here I am.

My daily driver is a 2012 VW Touareg TDi (love it!), and I have a built 2012 Jeep Wrangler (JKUR with long-arms, King by-pass shocks, 35s beadlock, ~11" travel, 4.88s, armor, etc.) and setup as pre-runner (though it boulder climbs like a champ!). I'm a desert rat now and love my runs in Death Valley. Anyone else? :)
