I imagine folks belong to "both" forums, but I thought I'd join this one as well. Getting ready to trade my 13 Ford F150 supercrew 4x4 ecoboost max tow long bed..... What a mouthful! We sold our travel trailer and I've been out test driving "fun" cars to replace it with. Here's my list: Hyundai Veloster turbo- felt nice, nothing special, Hyundai Genesis coupe 2.0T rspec- really a let down as it had practically no bottom end torque or power. Rode and drove great, and a great deal because it's a 13. Guess that should say something.... 14 Subaru WRX base model- enjoyed driving it, terrible stereo, on the high end of my budget at about $25k- requires premium, not great MPG's since it's AWD. Honda Accord Sport 6m- probably makes the most sense for me, but it only comes in grey or black, hate black cars, grey does nothing for me. 4 speaker sound system and terrible throttle over-run or hang turn me off. Friday I drove the new 14 Civic Si sedan in white (probably my favorite color)- I was quite surprised at how well it rode. Didn't have the low to mid range torque I expected, still not sure if I can deal with that dash design. I drove one home for the night in 2006 and did not like it then. The dealer wouldn't give me any numbers on my truck and shot me sticker plus their add ons. That didn't help and I drove an hour to get there. The good news was the Ford store right down the street had a Fiesta ST in white with 0 options. I did not expect the car to drive the way it did. Turbos rule on a street car. The base seats did allow my right leg to constantly rub the center console, but I'm not sure I could deal with climbing in and out of the Recaros and pay that premium on a car at this price. I loved the looks of the FiST too. Tinting the windows would do wonders for it. I was really impressed with how well it pulled in 6th gear on the highway. Love all the standard features: turn signal repeater, turn signal mirrors, FM HD and sirius, push button start, Sony 8 speaker system, etc. I actually like the stock wheels, definitely better than the Si's. I didn't even know of all the accolades this car has won until after I drove it and found these forums. Guess my impression of it is shared all over the world!!! Working a deal on the white one and a performance blue one with the sunroof. I live in Apex NC.

Well, I've worked a good deal on a new 14 Civic Si sedan, a white FiST with no options, and a performance blue one with a roof. This is a tough decision, believe me. I can't get the salesman on the white FiST to call me back since Saturday, so tomorrow I'm calling the sales manager. And he was at work today, so I may be done with him. I gotta say the Honda salesman and the one at the other Ford dealer blow him away with their efforts.

Hear that... First stealership I went to only offered 1.5k for my SVTF, and after confirming twice that they would have a FiST for a test drive I arrived to no FiST only a FoST and then told why do I want the little kid version and not the big boy car.... Then told they would drive one over for me to test drive from their other location, only if I would buy... Long story short... No excuse for that shitzki! The dealer I bought from gave me twice what the first would ;) walk! No, run the heck away and let the manger know on the way out the door!

Oh yea, forgot to mention I took delivery this past Saturday the 26th!!! Loving it!
Congrats and great choice! I had a better offer on a veloster turbo and a genesis coupe as well because I work for Hyundai. I chose the FiST over something both the Hyundai's lack in a big way, and that is character. Looks and driving experience the FiST takes it hands down, even though it lacks in power compared to the other two.

I'm headed out on our 20 year anniversary cruise tomorrow (Saturday). Can't wait, another hour of work.....
I just bought my wife a new 14 Sonata SE that we really like and my friend is a salesman there. They offered a great deal on the leftover Genesis 2.0T R spec, but it lacked power where you need it. I imagine that could be a great car after several thousand in mods, but I wasn't looking to do that. That and the staggered tires and Brembo brakes are no joke moneywise. I even read a test where Randy Pobst said those brakes overheated on the track quickly......
