I am a 37-year Ford Motor Company hourly employee. I started at the now defunct Lorain (Ohio) Assembly Plant (Thunderbird, Cougar, Econoline) and then transferred to the Kentucky Truck Plant in 1997 (Super Duty F-250, 350, 450, 550, Expedition, Navigator). I currently work as a QC torque inspector.

My big 6-0 birthday is on March 12th and I thought I deserved a special birthday gift. I walked into one of the local Ford dealerships after work on February 24, spotted a race red Fiesta ST with Rado grey wheels on the show room floor, pointed at it and said, "I'll take that one." I drove it home late that same afternoon.

I had done my due diligence before hand and knew exactly what I was purchasing. Unfortunately apart from driving the car home from work that afternoon I have yet to drive the car because of the weather.
With luck I can drive my sweetheart this weekend.

I'm glad to be aboard!

LOLgood one but if this is a mid life thing why not go Z06 or Shelby GT rather then something as practical and sleathy as a FiST.... :bag:

My younger brother owns a Mazda MX5 and likes to drive fast.

Today he took my FiST out for an hour. When he returned he had a huge smile on his face. He said: 1) I think you have better brakes than me; 2) Almost no torque steer!; 3) No turbo lag!; 4) This is a car that can get you into trouble! You are constantly tempted to get the RPM's up and experience the boost.

Heeheehee!

I am a 19 year old living out in Germany. I ordered my US Spec FiST (Oxford White) and it is currently traversing the ocean on it's way to me and it should be any day now. This will be my first new car and it seems like I made the right choice, the community on here seems great!

And if Capricorn does things right you can count on there being some footage from the Nurburgring and some summer time rides through the Alps.
