My oxford white ST was finally ordered wednesday. The dealership said 4 to 8 weeks, and I was wondering how true this is. I just joined the forum this week and have noticed that many of you are waiting much longer. I'm using my current 2011 Fiesta as a trade-in and am now slightly concerned. Any thoughts, much appreciated.

Depending on a few thing it could more like 8 to 12 weeks to be honest. And I am not even sure they are taking 2014 orders at the plant anymore

Code:
Last Date to Order First Date to Order Scheduling Begins Production Begins

                  2014's 2015's 2015's 2015's

As far as I know the plant is shutting down next week to prep for 2015. So unless the dealer had a pre allotment they squeezed in, it isn't likely. My Eta isn't until June 20, ordered feb16 and is scheduled to start production this coming week. So like 10 weeks more. After waiting 7 to get to the production part.

There's plenty more of us that have a similar Eta and will have a total wait time of 17+ weeks. Some have waited 19-20. Most had been about 12, and a rare 9 was the fastest.

Even after the car goes into production there is 8+ weeks to delivery. So 4 is not going to happen. 8 could happen if the dealer was able to have one squeezed into this last run before the plant closes. Skipping the 7-8 week wait for production.

I thought I'd be taking delivery in about two weeks. Was a major disappointment to learn 10 more weeks. I'd talk to your dealer and see what the real deal is. Might be beneficial to find one off a lot. I know there's a lot out there.

lill, very simple question with no easy or uncomplicated answer. Although everyone wants to blame their dealer, Ford has made a complete mess out of production. Production is scheduled based on so many variables it is impossible to know how long an individual car will take. I am close to worst case scenario, Car ordered 12/18, VIN/invoice date 3/20, build date 4/1, hopefully in my hands before the end of the month. Best case, dealer has long standing order that he changes to your specs, will be built next week. Building tends to be lumped by regions. I am in WI and a whole bunch of midwest cars getting built this week and next. You might do an extended inventory search for your region on Ford.com to see who has "dealer orders" and when they will be built. As there are a glut of Fiestas of all models out there, including STs, you might also be able to find exactly what you ordered on someone's lot.

It took a few months for me but I got mine in September.

At that time my frustration was that Ford was seemingly pumping out base model 2014s that no one ordered instead of STs which everyone was waiting for.

I could understand if they were 1.0 EcoBoost models but they were just 1.6s that were substantially the same as the left over 2013s that were also on the lots.

Maybe its just me but I think a manufacturer should try to get their halo cars on the road because their purpose is mostly to sell base model cars through association...

Mine was built in March 2014 and I picked it up in March 2014. I found it pretty amazing how quick it was from the production line to my drive way. The car had every option I wanted without having to order and wait.

At the risk of being considered a geek....I have been tracking data on ETIS. This data is delayed from what dealers get, so this applies only to ETIS. Average time from window sticker (invoice) date to production date is 10.55 +/- 1.63 days. Range 9-13. There is frequently a delay of several days, once a car has been built, before ETIS posts the build date. There is an additional several days before the build sheets come up.The bottom line: At the present time, plan on about 11 days from invoice date to build date.

Any idea on when we can start ordering the 2015 Fiesta ST?

That's what I'm waiting for.

Ordered mine Jan 27th. Update has it in transport, train unloaded in Illinois two weeks ago. Went to my dealer website to look around and saw my car (exact spec, and VIN listed on there site for sale in the new car section) Called the dealership and ask whats up with that?? They assured me that my car is not in and that they have it listed for sale only to advertise and spark interest in my area. We have had a few come into this dealership and they usually sell within a couple days. If my car gets sold from under me by some other salesman before I get it - I'm may LOSE my mind
