What date did you order your Fiesta ST?

Did you check with the dealer to insist on priority 1? I had to push for this on my build. Luckily a neighbor worked at the dealer.
My dealer said she hopes to have a VIN for me this week. If i don't. I'll be calling up and inquiring further. There is also an additional rebate if the car is in by end of March. I know that's not possible but at ordering i was told expect 4-6 weeks. So im pushing to lock that rebate in based on the fact according to them it should have been in.

Rebates are usually either at the time of order or the time of delivery. If the rebate was in force when the car was ordered you should get it regardless of when it is delivered.
Yes, the rebates I had at order were locked in, but had the vehicle come in on the time frame given. I would get the additional rebate that appeared a week later. So besides not getting the car in given time frame I'd be losing out on an additional 250$ or as I see it a free after market intake.

My dealer (Uptown Motors, Milwaukee) has been super. Discussions with the Regional manager. Involved Meagan @ Ford Support. The issue is corporate Ford and their total lack of candor on production issues. I suspect this mess is a global sourcing issue. Transmission and engine come from Europe and supply other plants than Mexico. Just wish they were upfront!
9 weeks total for my order with priority 19, I think some dealers are messing with you guys. I ordered 1/2/14 and have had it for almost 2 weeks now.
I finally got my VIN today, on a car ordered before Christmas!
Apparently, there is a priority level associated with orders.
I get that but three months for a VIN. High priority should be 4-6 weeks and 8-10 for lower, factor in its a limited production and maybe bump that up to 12 weeks until delivery. Probably will be nearing 20weeks at that rate. the 2015 will be on the lot by the time some of us see our 14 orders. Ford needs to step it up.
Hi guys,

If you'd like me to track your orders, send me a private message with your VIN, or the order number/dealer code.

When a vehicle is ordered, it will go into in order processing. This is generally the longest stage and the length it takes varies order to order because of different variables. These include the options associated with that and other orders, the availability of components (like paint, or special seats), as well as the priority code, which I'll touch on in a moment.

Dealers are allocated to have a specific amount of any given vehicle at any given time, and are allocated to go into production at certain times based on the aforementioned variables. So, the way to look at it is, an individual order is jockeying for a position based on other orders of that vehicle for that dealer, other orders for that dealer (of other vehicles) as well as against other orders for other dealers. It gets pretty complicated, and I don't really have any specifics, hence the vagueness of this post.

Back to priority codes. Once a dealer is allocated for production on that vehicle type, there's a range of priority codes based on many variables. When a dealer orders a vehicle for the lot (and on occasion for a customer), it gets marked as "Stock" and has a code of 01-09. These will be the first batches produced. After that is 10+ which is "Retail" aka most orders placed by customers. I've seen 01, 03, 10, 13, 19, and 99 in the orders I've seen in my year working here, though I'll be honest, most are either 01 or 10. Sometimes I go ahead and let you guys know your priority code, but if you ever want to know, feel free to ask. The one time I saw a 99, the customer needed to speak with their dealer to have it adjusted. If I see an abnormal priority code, I'll let you know.

I hope this helps!

Meagan

3 months, 10 days (ordered on Dec 10, 2013). Felt like the longest wait ever for an in-production car.
ordered 2/16
VIN issued sometime this week as I got it today, so less than 5 weeks
No Build date yet. :(
Really confused, window sticker has a date of 3/20/2014, ETIS says it was built 1/4/214. Ordered it 3/10/2014. Contacted Meagan so hopefully she will be able to shed some light on what's up

The date on the sticker is the invoice date not build. Etis will show a weird date until it is built but the fact that you have a sticker already means it's moving along nicely.
Ah, that makes sense, thank you for the info

Also, remember cars are built in Mexico so the day comes first, the month second and the year third. I suspect you saw 1.4.2014.....meaning April 1, 2014. ETIS will give you the "build sheet" four or five days after the build date appears. A few days after that, contact your dealer to see if they have an ETTX number, the number of the railcar it will be shipped on. After that you can track your car to delivery. There are several threads explaining how to track the railcars.
I think the build sheet is already on ETIS, I can expand it and se what is going to be added to the car ands what's not going to be added.

Did you add any options? Just seeing if I may have to wait awhile or not (placed order yesterday).
