Not just a cost saving move, every Ford globally with a hydraulic clutch has used a shared reservoir and that goes back to the 80s. Nothing new here.In a cost saving move a few yrs ago they use the brake fluid res as a combo brake fluid and clutch fluid res. had the same thing on my 2011 Mustang GT
Come to think of it I believe my fathers '61 and '64 Healey 3000s were the same way when stock, it's just been so long since he owned one that was remotely stock that I forgot. The clutch and brake share a reservoir on my 66 Sprite (pictured) and did so clear back to the 58 Bug Eye.
