Well, if you can't spot anything wrong, then I wouldn't get too worked up about it 
I am sure with all the worrying you did, you analyzed and over analyzed the crime scene...Probably would have picked up on anything out of place by now... Personally, I have left the hood popped on a new car many times, as the button was in a new location and I unintentionally hit it... Could be coincidentally, you left it popped and the window open at the same time & gave yourself a scare.
Unless you live in an area known for people stealing from cars... Odds are most people wouldn't even notice the window open in the middle of the night.
Not many people walking around and most would be too tired to snoop/notice.
