I originally planned on beating up on it and returning it after 2 years but fell in love. I thought I'd get an RS but can't justify the 5K market adjustment over MSRP to get one.

Just to make you all aware. Most dealers add $500-800 to the contracted purchase price for "dealer handling." This is essentially paying them to take a check. I managed to call around to all dealers until someone inexperienced said they had no fee and the manager actually had enough integrity to waive the fee.

Original purchase price with Recaros was around 22K. Purchase option was $16,700 including fee of $500 from original contract.

Interestingly, gt350s are hitting dealerships with $30K markups.

i just leased mine as well. I've never owned a Ford (fix or repair daily) so I'm a bit apprehensive to say the least. If the car ends up being as unreliable as i fear then i can just give her back. How was the reliability of urs during the lease?

No issues at all. This car takes a punishment and soldiers on.
