I'm looking to Plasti-Dip my car, to an extent.

Here is the paint scheme I came up with, what do you guys think? Ideas, Opinions, suggestions?

Cheers!

I'm totally planning to get the rear spoiler extensions, they would also be painted in this Matte Black (PlastiDip) to match, as well as the Triple R splitter.

I have no plans or intentions to paint the hood at all ... yet ... I didn't want to over do it with the paint.

I don't care for the plastidip fad, so I say no.
Whats wrong with PlastiDip? It's just a standard paint that has the added benefit of being removable

Whats wrong with that?

Haha, I personally love this, and it was how i had planned to pant mine. not including the 'triangle' on the side.
Here's a render without the side art. I'm impartial to the side art myself. Not sure if I love it or hate it.

Well you asked for opinions... :p Sorry if you thought all opinions would be in favor for it.

It's a flat color, doesn't really look that great to me. I like the look of real paint with a metallic flake and glossy clear coat much better. I've heard that once the plastidip sets in it's not so easy to just simply remove. With that size of a paint area I'd just as much leave it on, in which case real paint would be not only more permanent, but better looking. But at the end of the day it's your car, not mine, so you can do whatever you fancy. :) lol

I'd leave that awesome molten orange paint alone and let it all show though.

PlastiDip now has metal and glossifer which isnt clear coat but it isnt Flat either for the money it is a cool option to color anything and if you don't like it peel it off and go from there..
My guess it will be a option for some time as more and more play with it :)

Dont forget that if and when you eventually peel the plastidip off you will see the paint fade from the non plasti dipped parts. I personally like vinyl vs plastidip. I talked with a profession plastidip painter and he told me how most of the dips fade in about 6 months time and have to be redone. Less noticeable with black, but something to think about.

I really like that. I like the side triangle. The angle matches the door crease and handles. I'm a fan of Plastidip, even if you have to freshen it up or peel it and redo it. If you have to peel it, applying a fresh coat over the old softens the old stuff and makes removal much easier. Products like Goof-Off also soften it. I dipped both sets of rims I have and just hit them with a fresh coat about every 6 months and they look new.

I think it will look better without the black on the side flanks of the car, just the trunk and roof... if anything just the trunk... I am going to plasti dip my wheels, but more because of my wanting to protect the wheels and also because I am very lazy and hate constantly cleaning the wheels thanks to the crazy amount of brake dust our car's make...

End of the day the car expresses who you are!

Personally.. i LIKE the first picture in the OP.
The only adjustment i'd made is to the black detail on the doors... The angle gradient should match the black windows lining.
Just my 2cents! :)

I like the first pic myself. The line makes it look like it's going fast sitting still!
I was thinking of blacking out the trunk too, but I just don't want to have a black roof, and frankly that would just look goofy if I did.
