So that just happened.

I'm pretty damn excited. I'm local to ridgecrest and have watched several rallycross events here in town over the years, but I've been envious as I wasn't prepared to take my c5 corvette out there. Well with the Fiesta as my do everything car, I'm ready to hit it up!

The High Desert Trails Rally is the saturday before the event, so there will be plenty of awesome rally cars doing their thing at the rally cross as well I would imagine.

I've got Rally Armor mud flaps on the way otherwise it will be stock wheels and tires for this event.

Anyone ever do any rallycross? How'd it go for you in the Fiesta?

Here's a pic from an autocross a couple months ago. Can't wait for the rally cross.

Hope you had fun at HDT, I couldn't make it but plan to run the rest of the season at Glen Helen. I've been doing rallyx in SoCal since 2008, previously with Subarus but I just did my first event with the FiST in March and it did great. It was a very different from the STI I used to have and it will take some getting used to, but it was still a ton of fun. The main problem I had was putting the power down, the thing just has so much torque you can just spin the tires everywhere, I actually went faster with the car in "Sport" mode than with the stability control completely off.

For rallyx I run some snow tires on a spare set of stock wheels so I've got some extra grip. I've also got the Rockblokz mudflaps and the Rally Innovations aluminum lip to protect the bumper. Rally Innovations is working on a skidplate and I'm supposed to be one of the first on the list to get one and test it for them.

If you ever make it out to Glen Helen come up and say hi, I've got the white FiST.
