I have a 2012 SE and recently rented a 2014 SE. In both cases the 12V accessory outlet is live even when the car is off and the keys are out.
I love the Scosche reVOLT C2 dual USB charger. It has dual 10w charging ports, which means it will charge two tablets, or a phone and a tablet or two phones fast.
