I currently have the Ingen Intake and the Cobb tuner. I have 5k to blow on performance upgrades. I am a big guys who loves this car but I need a little more horses. What is the best bang for the buck at this point if I had 5k to spend. I would love to get the car below 5 secs. Any thoughts?

Forgot, add a 2.5"+ CBE

Add light wheels and tires. There's some people reporting *some* 235 width wheels fit, and you'll need the traction.

Thats about all the go fast stuff that's available right now. No engine interals yet. (It wouldn't let me edit my first post, gave me an error)

Thanks for the reply. Will spacers be needed with the wider wheels?

Jet engine?

Getting enough traction to complete a 0-60 run in under 5 seconds is going to be very hard with something that is still able to be driven on the street.

Stage 3 will get you mid 5 second to 60. E30 tune might get u closer to 5. I'm on e30 stage 3 but I'm a mile above sea level, I hit 60 in 6 seconds. I've heard turbo cars are about 1/2 to a full second slower to 60 up here

But if you really want to use all 5k you should definitely upgrade your turbo and worry about your 60-100mph performance

SRT-4 did 0-60 in 5.3 seconds from the factory, while *under* 5 seconds might be unreasonable, something in the mid 5 second range is probably feasible.

SRT4 was under rated from the factory, and had 50% more volume than us. 2.4 liter vs 1.6 liter. It also had a 5 speed, which is typically 1 less shift for most timed runs. We make *basically* 50hp per 0.4 liter. Same with the Focus ST.
They were/are a lot of power for the size, and easily tuned to 50hp/ 0.4 liter for not much money.
Sorry if I ramble. Guess I am trying to say that the comparison is maybe not as relevant as you may think.
