I'm waiting for the factory warranty process to be completed before purchasing the mountune 215 kit, but it occurred to me to ask those who have already installed them......

Is there a decrease in fuel economy? .. How much? .. Has anyone done before and after testing?

Here's what I have with the mountune's high flow induction kit installed (before) while awaiting delivery of MP215 tune handset for ECU calibration (after):

Basic Stats (Before)
  • Total Miles Tracked 14400
  • 65% City vs 35% Highway Driving
  • Total Fuel-ups 73 (averaging 7 per month)
  • Avg MPG 30.7
  • Best MPG 37.7 (10/12/13) - minimum of 200 miles between fill-ups
Cost Analysis All Time
  • $3.86 Avg Price/Gallons
  • $25.09 Avg Price/Fuel-up
  • $0.127 Avg Price/Mile
  • $1,831.86 Total Spent

It's been 4 days since having mine installed and I'm getting 6.8 liters per 100 km while on a "road trip" . The most expensive part has been a speeding ticket haha.
