I put the mountune lower air box in today and wanted to order the cobb stage 2. But I need to know if the cobb cone filter will be to long for the smaller mountune air box? If it is to long is there a shorter filter that I can use instead of the Cobb one.

I wouldn't mix the two intakes. As long as you have the lower air box, get their intake hose and panel filter. If you want to go to stage 2 then get either the mountune FMIC or the Cobb FMIC, your choice.

Not trying to be a dick but why would you not mix them the mountune pipe only replaces the front tube which is good but still leaves the back tube the Cobb replaces both. Here's the data The both reduce the turbulence caused by the factory front tube but the Cobb replaces the back 2 1/2 " tube with a 3" one. Now that 1/2" might not seem like a lot. but in pipe it is at 5 psig. The difference in flow between 2 1/2" and 3" is 105 scfm. Unless there is data to say that the stock turbo/ a little bit bigger turbo or engine is not going to work as good or not any better with the increased ability of flow I'm going to go with the Cobb.

i havent really look at the lower part of the mountube air box, does the hole is in the middle of the box? is the hole on the lower part of the mountune box the size of a fist? if yes to both, i could say yes, it might fit, but no one has done it, if you do it, let is know since you would be the 1st one
:D
If it doesnt fit you could always sell one

The Cobb filter is 6 1/2" long the mountune box is only 6" deep so I am going to call k&n to see if they make a 3" opening filter that's 5" long ish.
