Sorry to inform you that the handset is coded to your car. It won't work again for another one. .. Since after the ECU is flashed, you don't need the handset, they do this to protect themselves from one person buying the handset and 20 friends using it to upgrade their cars. .. At least this is my understanding. Check with Mountune, but I'm pretty sure it's this way.

If it is brand new (never been installed) the handset is fine. if the handset was used it cant be remarried.

Yeah, the product is Brand New. I'm thinking about installing it and keeping the FiST. Just too much fun, even in its stock form. I think the used Alpha Romeo 4c that I was going to buy will have to wait.

Correct. Mtune calibrations are locked; One car and one car only. If you want to get custom tunes, you must get the Cobb AccessPort directly from mountune. If you want to change maps, then the AccessPort is the way to go. It has to do with both protecting their intellectual property, and satisfying the California Air Resource Board (CARB), which is why the Ford warranty remains intact with the mtune, but not (necessarily) so with the AP.
