I haven't really read the manual but the navigation is frustrating.
For example, yesterday I did a POI search (in a city) for Fry's Electronics in Palo Alto CA and the first result on the list was Fry's in Campbell. I was just leaving that Fry's because they didn't have the item I wanted but the PA store did.
The Fry's in PA was on the list but I asked for something specific and it got the order of the list totally wrong.
Also canceling navigation is often a pain in the butt. In my opinion cancel navigation and resume navigation should be commands you can say at any point without being asked if I am sure and it should be immediate.
Any way, its not perfect but it can be better than nothing.
It would be fine if I could sit down and enter my destination before I leave but if you need directions while in route which is 95% of my use, it kind of sucks.
With that said, I think a Dart weighs about as much as a Focus and doesn't have the power of the ST so you are trading away most of the performance for an infotainment system.
If you are tech savvy and like performance you could buy an ST and an Android tablet or iPad and get a better UI with more features and upgradable.
As I've said before, the manufacturers should just have a simple system with a Bluetooth or WiFi interface and then build apps for the customer's tablet or phone. The geeks will iron things out and we won't be stuck with obsolete hardware in a brand new car...
