I wonder if we get the same 2016 wheels in the states. From what I was seeing when I ordered my 2016, the picture on the order guide at the dealer still looked like the previous style wheels but the colors are now Rado Grey and Ebony Black. Ford's US website still has the 2015 car builder even though the 2016s have been available to order for awhile.

The only change is the new optional color. Wheels are exactly the same style design. And yeah, its kinda odd that we still have to walk into a dealership and sit down with a salesman to view current info on a new ford product. I think ford should just scrap the vehicle configurator and locater,aka build and price. The inventory listings are not accurate. The configs are generally out dated. Just put kiosks in dealerships and maybe shopping malls, that have a good, current config program. Forget prices. Forget dealer inventories. Just give prospective buyers good info( maybe a printout too?) about what is buildable! I still like the paper brochure, but its the 21st century. So, I will let that idea slide. This Fist I just ordered is the 3rd one purchased sight unseen.

Dealers always get their allotted orders first. I'm annoyed that the B&P isn't up and running yet... Though, it's been the same since I bought my 11 in 10.

Yeah, I know, I'd just feel better if I had some sort of schedule by now. I don't remember the next MY build and price taking this long to get going. The 2016 orders have already been getting ordered for awhile...they really should get on that...

Yeah, and we also wish Santa Clause would look good in a speedo. But that aint gonna happen either.It best to just forget it, the North American market for B-cars is almost too small for Fiesta as a 5 door.

Comparing the Fiesta sales in the US vs the UK the Fiesta doesn't even sell half as good here and it's the best selling car there. That's just in amount. If we looked at the ratio of the number of total cars sold there vs total cars sold in the UK, the Fiesta makes up a very small percentage of actual US sales. I'm pretty good at spotting Fiestas (not just STs) and I really just don't see them that often because the US says "bigger is better". I don't mind the 2 extra doors myself and kinda prefer them now but the cost to get the 3 door over here vs the extra amount of sales that would be made is pretty negligible so I just don't see it happening.

I can't argue that. I doubt there would be any measurable increase in sales if Ford brought any 3 doors over, but I highly doubt it would hurt them. You're probably right about them never bothering to bring them though. I would argue that if they were available, that they would sell specifically as an ST, or fingers crossed, an RS.

I'd argue the opposite, I know for a fact that there are people who won't buy a car with four doors and since Ford doesn't offer one they go elsewhere.

Plenty of small two door cars out there to choose from these days too, Ford is missing out entirely by not bringing it here. Worst part is it's a car that already exists. :(

That's the factor I don't get. I doubt it's any less crash worthy than the 5 door. The only hang up would be that the factory in Mexico isn't set up to take or make the stampings. Yet they created the sedan for NA...

It'd be cheaper to drop the sedan and just have the two flavors of hatch, but the sedan is actually fairly popular in the US.

I don't actually know that there are really that many small 3 door cars around right now. Yaris, Mini Cooper, and Golf are really all I can find that are in the US and anything else I could find is a 5 door. Can't say I really want any of those. Small coupes are no longer really existent. The Kia Forte Koupe and Honda Civic Si is really all I can find. So I'll happily have the two extra doors on a car I'd much rather be daily driving.

Sedans make up about 40% of the Fiestas I see in Edmonton, so yes quite popular. I am fine with my 5 door too, but I'd jump all over a 3 door ST, but I'd auto spend on a 3 door RS. I'm sure that there is a market in eu for a sedan as well. We might see a coupe hatch once assembly moves to Thailand... Maybe. I'm not holding my breath though.

If you take into account Focus sized cars there are actually a lot of them out there, sadly Ford has denied the entire world of a 2/3 door Focus as well.
