Hi all,

A little bit about myself....
I'm 19 and I've had both a 1984 VW Scirocco Wolfsburg and now have a 2004 Subaru Impreza. I've always been interested in the Focus and Fiesta ST and now that I'm in the Army, I finally will have the money to put a down payment on a new Fiesta ST once I move to my duty station in Hawaii.

I have a few questions, obviously everyone who is reading this now probably loves the Fiesta so it's not even worth asking whether you like it or not, but what are some of the Pros and Cons that you have encuntered since you've gotten your Fiesta? What should I look at when buying a Fiesta and basically just really any tips you all have for someone new to Ford motors. What are some popular mods? I will probably do suspension and wheels first.

Thank you all and I look forward to being part of the community.

I've had no downside. Really the car it just right for me. Love the mountune springs. They provide a less jarring ride over normal roads while being stiffer when it counts. The drop is noticeable, without looking slammed. The R(ear)M(otor)M(ount) should probably be done if you're going to "hit" it as it inhibits wheel hop under strong acceleration, especially in 1st gear, and the Quick Shift is probably the thing that is most noticeable EVERY time you get behind the wheel

What are some of the popular mods in the community? Like in the Subaru community it was mudflaps and exhaust. I've noticed that a lot of the Focus' around here have BOVs and straight pipes. Not many Fiestas here though.

If not worried about warranty:

1.accessport
2. RMM
3. Springs or coils
4. FMIC & intake
5. Dp
6. Short shift kit

If warranty worried:
1. RMM
2. springs or coils
3. CBE or intake
4. Short shift kit (boomba full kit is awesome)
5 (or #1 if you want powa!) Mp215 (honestly the Cobb ap3 is better if close to end of warranty - more maps)

Not really mods, but, I would say to get the recaros and nav from factory. I put in focus st recaros in mine (non heated, front only) and love them. I am trying to get nav from someone that is parting out their fist; at that point ill be able to figure out if factory nav is swappable.

The one thing that I am waiting on (money and... Well saving money after i get a bike) is the cobb exhaust. The fist is much too quiet for me.

Otherwise... What everyone else is saying.

Yeah, I planned on getting both of those. Well, not the Focus recaros but the Fiesta ones.

Here's how I've been building my FiST while wanting to maintain my warranty for a solid ~15k-20k:
Current:
1) Quick Shift/RMM
2) CAI
3) Two Point Tie Bar/Rear Torsion Beam/Eibach Sway Bars

Near Future:
4) FMIC
5) Cat-Back Exhaust
6) Cobb AP + Protune (this is what causes most of the warranty concern)
7) Wheels

Undecided (but happening):
Shifter bushing swap
Rear Wing Riser
10mm wheel spacers all the way around (for cosmetics, I don't autox or anything)
Upper front strut brace
Big brake kit
Window tint

3. ???

4. Profit.

With various cosmetic things done throughout, like a debadge and a recolor/badge of the Ford/ST logos.

Welcome. Came from an E39 M5 which I previously thought was as close to a "perfect all around car" as possible and I can honestly say the Fiesta ST is even more fun to drive. It truly embodies the expression that it's more fun (and challenging) to drive a slower car fast than it is a fast car slowly. I have the Mountune MP215 kit and short shift kit and feel that these mods get the car even closer to the sweet spot of power/handling without ruining the overall feel of the car. Icing on the cake? Both mods do not void your Ford warranty.

The one potential negative are the optional Recaro seats. I highly encourage you to test drive a car with them before optioning a car with these. They seem to fit some people like a glove but for others of wider build around the shoulders or waist they border on being uncomfortable. I was somewhere in the middle and around 15,000 miles they broke in and fit me quite nicely even on longer, multi-hour trips. Your mileage may vary.
